Peg Analysis Board
Does anyone have recomendations for a good peg analysis board? I want to have one by my side as I'm analyzing openings, and endings, or just to take around with me. Seems they are hard to find. Thanks.

I prefer the magnetic ones that fit in your pocket. I had an old Dreuke peg board set that I was pretty fond of though. You're right. They are hard to find.
Hey Don, which magnetic board is your favorite? I seen a couple 5X5 wood boards with wood pieces, or the small plastic ones with flat pieces. Do you like the magnetic ones better than your peg board? How come?
I like magnetic boards with the flat pieces. This way I can read a book and follow along while in bed. (Yes, I'm a freakin' wild man.) The only magnetic set I've seen that looks close to the one I've got is sold by the London Chess Center. I need to replace mine but have not yet been able to swallow the bitter pill of international shipping.
I never use the peg set anymore. It's only benefit was that you could leave a position and it wouldn't get messed up. The same is true of a magnetic set, and it takes up less space.
Thanks for the tip Don. That site also had some nice peg boards as well. Which is the set you were looking at? Was it chtr001?
I have a magnetic set like that but the pieces rattle around when I put it in my bag, it can't fit in my pocket, and I can't close up the board without messing up my position. Basically I use it with my roll-out board to hold certain positions while I try different lines from that position. I posted earlier about that board, currently it is being held together with electric tape.
Great: thanks for planting the idea of using a magnetic board in bed Don. This is going to destroy my marriage!
